Tony 57b27a7b44 Refactor Dart runtime to replace DART_DYNAMIC_MODULES with DART_BYTECODE_INTERPRETER
- Updated conditional compilation flags throughout the runtime codebase to transition from DART_DYNAMIC_MODULES to DART_BYTECODE_INTERPRETER.
- Adjusted logic in various files including object_graph_copy.cc, object_reload.cc, profiler.cc, and others to ensure compatibility with the new interpreter model.
- Ensured that all references to dynamic modules are replaced with bytecode interpreter checks, maintaining functionality for interpreted code execution.
- Modified stack frame handling and service-related code to align with the new interpreter architecture.
- Updated tests and service implementations to reflect the changes in the runtime environment.

Tess Strickland 4b0a4e0a75 [vm,dyn_modules] Fix vm/cc/Profiler tests for dynamic modules.
The only actual change required to the profiler service is appropriately
retrieving the source position for interpreted frames during processing.

Otherwise, most of the tests just need small changes to account for the
slightly different stack trace generated by interpreted code when
walking the stack as code instead of functions:

* Interpreted code calls the runtime entry DRT_AllocateObject directly
for slow-path allocation instead of via the AllocateObjectSlow stub.

* The current name for bytecode frames when walked as code starts with
  "[Bytecode]" instead of "[Unoptimized]".

The test vm/cc/Profiler_GetSourceReport is skipped since:

* It tests compiled code-specific features like classifying source
  positions.

* Inserting fake samples for interpreted functions is messier since
many PC offsets may map to the same source position.

The other skipped tests are specific to inlining and/or optimized
compiled code, so there's no point in running them on interpreted code.

Ryan Macnak d36adbacaf [vm] Remove the VM isolate.
The former contents of the VM isolate are now included into each isolate group. This makes each isolate group's heap independent, and in particular allows each heap to be allocated to a separate pointer cage (not done in this CL).

The duplicated stubs that allowed PC relative calls are removed, since the originals can now be the target of PC relative calls.

The bootstrapping needing to load an AppJIT or AppAOT snapshot is reduced to allocating the oddballs. The code is entirely dropped in the AOT runtime, but the JIT runtime still has it to allow for flags to affect the compilation of the stub code. Further refactoring might be able to remove this for the JIT runtime too, with only gen_snapshot knowing how to bootstrap.

Class serialization no longer distinguishes predefined classes.

The page containing null is marked as never-evacuate. null, false and true must not move because the compiler relies on their low bits having certain patterns for some optimizations. (Previously, the entire VM isolate heap never moved.)

Compaction is disabled for IA32. Due to register pressure, some stub calls must not use a scratch register and embed the address of Code.

The page containing the call-through-safepoint stub is frozen when running with --write-protect-code and the stub is created at runtime (instead of loaded from an AppJIT or AppAOT snapshot). This stub must remain executable even during a safepoint, as a foreign call might during return during a safepoint and only block after the stub directs it to the runtime.

The snapshot symbols are renamed to kDartSnapshotData and kDartSnapshotText. There is no need to distinguish the VM isolate's snapshot, and snaphots are per isolate group not per isolate. Aliases with the old names are added to ease migration.

Some global flags that were automatically set based on the VM isolate's snapshot are now isolate group flags and automatically set by the isolate group's snapshot.

Ryan Macnak d4d46a4b83 [vm] Avoid confusing which FP to use for the 3 kinds of profiler stack walks.
We can do a "native" stack walk starting from the interrupt context, a Dart stack walk starting from the exit frame, or a Dart stack walk starting from the interrupt context / simulator state / interpreter state.

Decide which kind of stack walk to do once instead both inside and outside CollectSample. Remove CollectSample, as we should not need SEH guards now that we have accurate stack bounds.

Slava Egorov d7fa1ced6a [vm] Speedup profile data streaming in AOT
Current implementation of profile data streaming inherited its
approach to symbolization from the implementation of vm-service's
get{,Perfetto}CpuSamples methods. These methods rather expensive
as they rely on CodeLookupTable to symbolize collected samples, and
constructing CodeLookupTable requires bringing all threads to safepoint
and iterating over old-space to collect code objects. This can take
significant amount of time - especially when old-space is large (e.g.
consider 1Gb+ heaps of Dart Analysis Server).

This CL rewrites profile data streaming to use a completely different
approach in AOT mode where Dart frames are not symbolized eagerly
and instead stored in the timeline in their raw form: a pair of
an isolate group specific Mapping and a PC value relative to the start
of that mapping. At the end of streaming (or when isolate group
exits) an additional ModuleSymbols packet is emitted which provides
symbolization information for all collected frames. ModuleSymbols
mappings can be cheaply constructed from collected PCs using
ReversePc lookup tables.

Slava Egorov 07c9599ead [vm] Tweak location of Perfetto protos
This CL tries to address version skew issues which occur in internal
monorepo which we created by checking in *.pbzero.h files into
runtime/vm/protos/*. These files refer to protozero internal headers,
which in the internal monorepo come from a shared Perfetto dependency
which does not necessarily match the version we pinned in our DEPS and
used to generated these files.

This version skew caused problems for the Perfetto team, see
https://github.com/google/perfetto/pull/3195

To resolve this change layout of our repo to allow us to depend on the
shared Perfetto entirely - including its version of *.pbzero.h headers.

We change include paths in the VM source to

    #include "third_party/perfetto/protos/..."

which match location of these headers in the internal monorepo.

To make the code compile in the normal SDK checkout we shift location of
Perfetto and checked in code:

* Perfetto source moves from third_party/perfetto to
  third_party/perfetto/src.
* Generated code moves from runtime/vm/protos into
  third_party/perfetto/protos.

Note: experiments show that *.pbzero.h files tree-shake very well and
you pay only for things that you use. That means depending on *.pbzero.h
files generated from full message definitions rather than our manually
tree-shaken versions does not actually increase the size of the VM
binaries. We could switch our external build to do the same but this
would make protoc a build time dependency, which seems excessive.

Vyacheslav Egorov a6a99dc45f [vm] Fix issues in SampleBlockProcessor
This is follow up to commit cb0c2bf5ed.

SampleBlockProcessor only enters isolate group and not a specific
isolate so the code must not rely on thread->isolate(). This fixes two
places where this was not the case:

* ProfileBuilder::IsPCInDartHeap
* UserTags::TagName

pkg/dds/test/get_cached_cpu_samples_test was supposed to cover this but
it has two problems:

First I observed that SampleBlockProcessor never gets a chance to
process a block if mutator thread always gets to it first (via a
scheduled interrupt), so this code is not well exercised. I started by
adding a variant of the test where interrupts are inhibited via a
vm:unsafe:no-interrupts pragma - which revealed the crashes in the
SampleBlockProcessor code.

This revealed the second problem: get_cached_cpu_samples_test does not
actually fail if testee crashes during the test, it just silently
completes with success. This seems to happen because disposal of
VmService connection is not forwarded into the future on which the test
is awaiting - and the whole process just exits once VmService connection
to the testee disappears (because all ports are closed, no pending
activity is possible after that one). I have fixed this by adding a
helper function which checks that connection to VmService only goes away
when we dispose it.

Note: there is another obvious issue here, which I am leaving unfixed
for now. SampleBlockProcessor calls UserTags::TagName in a way that can
race with isolate itself modifying the table. I think this race is
extremely unlikely but it can cause crashes on ARMs with its weak memory
model (e.g. we might end up reading garbage due to the reordering of
stores).

Alexander Markov b6dc4dad4d [vm/aot] Avoid using most Code objects in stack traces with --dwarf-stack-traces
The following changes are done in preparation for the removal of Code
objects in AOT with --dwarf-stack-traces:

* Stack trace objects are extended to hold uword PCs (which may not
  fit into Smi range).

* Scanning stack frames in GC (StackFrame::VisitObjectPointers)
  now avoids using Code objects.
In order to find CompressedStackMaps it now calls
  ReversePc::FindCompressedStackMaps.

* Singleton Code object (StubCode::UnknownDartCode()) is prepared as
a replacement for Code objects in stack traces. It has
PayloadStart() == 0 and Size() == kUwordMax so it includes
  arbitrary PCs.

* In --dwarf-stack-traces mode, most Code objects obtained from stack
  frames are replaced with StubCode::UnknownDartCode().
This simulates future behavior of ReversePc::Lookup when Code objects
  will be removed.

That is, we try to pin down when token positions are expected to
be real vs. when other types of token positions can be found.

Another source of possible error when using token positions is to
convert between synthetic and real token positions. In the past,
synthetic token positions may have been based off real token positions,
but that is no longer the case. Thus, all methods that allow
that conversion have been removed, and instead there is a new static
method for constructing synthetic tokens from valid nonces.

This CL also makes it so that Pos() and relational operators on token
positions are only defined on real token positions, to avoid any
assumptions about what the value encoded in synthetic positions mean. To
help with cases where non-real token positions may occur, four helper
methods are added:

* TokenPosition::Min(a, b): A static method that returns the smallest
real token position provided. If neither `a` or `b` are real,
  returns `a`.

* TokenPosition::Max(a, b): A static method that returns the largest
real token position provided. If neither `a` or `b` are real,
  returns `a`.

* TokenPosition::IsWithin(start, end): Determines whether `this` falls
between `start` and `end` (inclusive). If `this` is non-real, then it
must be either `start` or `end` if synthetic, otherwise false.
Otherwise, we mimic the old style of range checking, which means that
non-real starts and ends are treated as less than every real token.

* TokenPosition::CompareForSorting(other): Unlike the relational
operators, provides a comparison between any types of token positions
for purposes such as sorting. Currently only used in the profiler.

It also changes TokenPosition::ToCString() to tag synthetic token
positions, so they can be distinguished from real ones at a glance.

TEST=Existing test suite on trybots, especially the observatory tests
which make heavy use of the debugger and the unit tests for the
profiler/source report modules.
