Liam Appelbe 1f8ef384d9 [vm] First pieces of late modifier implementation.
This implements the logic for initializing, getting, and setting
non-final instance fields that have initializers. It doesn't address
statics, finals, local variables, or the no-initializer case, and is
only implemented for bytecode.

Vyacheslav Egorov 47e44d5669 [vm/compiler] Mark more stores as initializing.
We inline allocation of contexts and closures manually so stores
which are effectively initializing were not marked as such.

Additionally permit elimination of initializing stores into context
objects in AOT mode because all contexts are null-initialized there.

This relands commit eb87e79e8e with a fix
in GenerateAllocateContextStub on ARM: it was initializing every second element
in the context with garbage value.

Alexander Markov 62ee78eeec [vm,bytecode] Generate calls for causal-async-stacks more consistently
In order to support causal-async-stacks, the following synthetic calls
are inserted: _asyncStackTraceHelper, _setAsyncThreadStackTrace and
_clearAsyncThreadStackTrace.

_asyncStackTraceHelper is always generated in the async transformation.
_setAsyncThreadStackTrace and _clearAsyncThreadStackTrace are inserted
during bytecode generation (or in the flow graph builder in case of AST
pipeline). If bytecode generation options are set inconsistently with
--causal-async-stacks VM option, then it was possible that
_asyncStackTraceHelper was generated but other calls were not generated,
causing incorrect (full, non-truncated) async stack traces. This also
causes performance regression as collecting full stack traces takes
much more time.

This change makes generation of all these calls more consistent: if
causal async stacks are disabled during bytecode generation, then all
three calls are omitted. Also, in case these calls were generated and
present in bytecode, but VM option --causal-async-stacks is disabled,
then bytecode flow graph builder turns all these three calls into no-ops.

Daco Harkes d23c824435 Reland "[vm/ffi] Optimize Pointer operations for statically known types"

Fix for simdbc in patchset 4.

This CL optimizes Pointer operations in hot loops for Pointer<NativeInteger/NativeDouble/Pointer> (not for structs).

Design: go/dart-ffi-pointers-il

It provides roughly a 100x speedup for the FfiMemory benchmark. The next 5x speedup is to get rid of allocations due to `load` and `store` not being inlined.

FFI API is changed to enable optimizations:

* Disable dynamic invocations of Pointer.load / Pointer.store.
* Disallow implicit downcast of argument passed to Pointer.store.
* Stop zeroing out Pointer.address on Pointer.free().

Alexander Markov 5920048fa2 [vm,aot,bytecode] Handle direct-call metadata when generating bytecode
AOT transformations add vm.direct-call.metadata with devirtualization
information to AST nodes.

Bytecode generator should take this information into account when
generating bytecode in case of AOT. Bytecode format is extended with
CheckReceiverForNull and UncheckedDirectCall instructions, and
DirectCallViaDynamicForwarder constant pool entry in order to represent
devirtualized calls.

Aart Bik 78bd9f17a1 [vm/compiler] keep stack depth per block in stack IR
Rationale:
This simplifies finding the proper stack depth while
traversing the entries in the DOM tree during OSR.
Also enables asserting stack integrity on all paths

Samir Jindel 205b90f0de Take 3 for '[vm/ffi] Implement FFI callbacks on AOT for ELF and Asm snapshots (excl. blobs).'
Fixes the changes to assembly snapshot writer in SIMARM_X64 mode. This unfortunately can't be tested until the ELF loader is available.

Zichang Guo 35d1333c2f [vm] remove token position for ExceptionHandlers

Alexander Markov 76bc894576 [vm/bytecode] Generate explicit DebugCheck for assignment to static field
Instead of always implying debugger stop at StoreStaticTOS bytecode,
bytecode generator now explicitly generates (or omits) DebugCheck bytecode.
This is needed to match behavior of AST flow graph builder of omitting
extra debugger stops when RHS expression is not trivial.

Fixes service/debugging_test with bytecode.

Régis Crelier a290271dea [vm/bytecode] Throw should be 'debug checked', but not ReThrow.
Since both throw and rethrow statements share the same 'Throw' bytecode opcode
(differentiated by an operand), we make the opcode not implicitly 'debug
checked' anymore.
Instead, we emit a 'DebugCheck' opcode for the throw statement only.

This fixes the following test:

Alexander Markov f255c0c8d3 [vm/bytecode] Revise PushStatic bytecode instruction
PushStatic instruction expects field object to be pushed onto the stack.
This is useless, as PushStatic also references field with its D operand.
This change replaces PushStatic instruction with LoadStatic which doesn't
take field object on the stack, so PushConstant/PushStatic pair is replaced
with a single LoadStatic instruction.

This change also enables constant propagation of values of injected CID
fields, which are not known at bytecode generation time.

Alexander Markov dc2c942c7d [vm/bytecode] Avoid adding all ICData objects from constant pool
Code::ResetSwitchableCalls iterates all ICData objects and tries to find
corresponding PCs. Before this change, functions compiled from bytecode
had all ICData objects from constant pool in their ic_data_array().
This is a problem because constant pool is shared among closures, so it
could contain ICData objects for dynamic calls in other functions (closures),
so ResetSwitchableCalls won't be able to find their PCs.

The fix is to add ICData objects to ic_data_array only when generating
DynamicCall.

This change fixes the crash with the following call stack:

 dart::MatchesPattern(unsigned long, short const*, long)
 dart::CodePatcher::GetInstanceCallAt(unsigned long, dart::Code const&, dart::Object*)
 dart::Code::ResetSwitchableCalls(dart::Zone*) const

Martin Kustermann 130c654dcd [vm/compiler] Avoid runtime call for _asyncStackTraceHelper if !FLAG_causal_async_stacks
Even though the FLAG_causal_async_stacks can be used to disable causal
async stack traces, the generated code would still call to the runtime,
which would simply return `null`.

To avoid this runtime call we recognize the method in the 2 flow graph builders.

are declared and copied into their locations in the prologue.
It helps debugger to stop in the beginning of a function at the point
