The test passes on dartium, fails on dart2js.  The latter appears to be a dart2js bug related to noSuchMethod.  Still need to update the html.status file.

The observe method supports configuration by dictionary and optional arguments:

observer.observe(node, {'subtree': true});
observer.observe(node, subtree: true);

If both are given, they are merged.
