Liam Appelbe 0a20707e3f [vm/service] Fix JSON array parsing bug that causes seg fault
Changed the definition of `end` to point 1 past the end of the element,
rather than the end of the element, which avoids the need for buggy
look-ahead style lookups.

I think this must have been a long standing bug, and we just never sent
empty JSON arrays to the service until now, because I didn't change this
logic when I refactored it.

Jens Johansen 73466729f3 [vm] Pass offset and script uri for expression compilation
This CL passes the offset and uri of the file (here called a script uri
as opposed to a library uri, the two will be different if we're in a
part) when doing expression compilation.

This CL only passes the data, but doesn't actually use it.
Future CL(s) will use this data to calculate the static type of
available variables which is needed for an upcomming feature.

Martin Kustermann 06b2967188 [vm] Disentagle PortMap/MessageHandler from port status tracking
The main purpose of the low-level [PortMap] is to coordinate between
ports being opened & closed and concurrent message senders. That's the
only thing it should do.

Each isolate owns [ReceivePort]s. Only the isolate mutator can create
ports, delete them or change their "keeps-isolate-alive" state. Right
now it requires going via [PortMap] (which acquires lock) and
[MessageHandler] (which acquires lock) to change the
"keeps-isolate-alive" state of a port.

We'll move information whether a dart [ReceivePort] is closed and
whether it keeps the isolate alive into the [ReceivePort] object itself.

=> Changing the "keeps-isolate-alive" state of the port no longer
requires any locks. We could even avoid the runtime call itself in a
future CL.

Isolates are kept alive if there's any open receive ports (that have not
been marked as "does not keep isolate alive"). This is a property of an
isolate not of the message handler. For native message handlers we do
have a 1<->1 correspondence between port and handler (i.e. there's no
"number of open ports" tracking needed).

=> We'll move the logic of counting open receive ports and ports that
keep the isolate alive to the [Isolate].
=> We'll also remove locking around incrementing/decrementing or
accessing the counts.
=> The [IsolateMessageHandler] will ask the [Isolate] whether there's
any open ports for determining whether to shut down.
=> For native ports, the `Dart_NewNativePort()` & `Dart_CloseNativePort()`
functions will manage the lifetime (as their name also suggests).

Overall this makes the [Isolate] responsible for creation of dart
[ReceivePort]s and tracking whether the isolate should be kept alive:
  * Isolate::CreateReceivePort()
  * Isolate::SetReceivePortKeepAliveState()
  * Isolate::CloseReceivePort()

Martin Kustermann 587e6308bf [vm] Fix expression evaluation in context of closures
When evaluating an expressino at a breakpoint that's inside a closure,
the closure may refer to anything it closes over. That includes the
`this` from an enclosing method.

So depending on whether a closure's parent chain is an instance method
or a static method, the expression evaluation function is going to be an
instance method or a static method.

=> We walk up the parent chain to determine the correct enclosing class.
=> This avoids making a Type object with a cid from a top-level class (see [0])

Handling this correctly will now try to get the `this` when invoking an
eval function that has an enclosing instance method. Though we may often
have "<optimized out>" the `this` (e.g. due to not capturing it in
closure context chain).

=> We still allow running the expression evaluation function in this
case, but only if the expression being evaluated doesn't access `this`.

A similar issue occurs when trying to use variables in the eval
expression that the closure didn't capture. This results in a confusing
CFE compile-time error. This is a separate issue and tracked in [1].

=> We update the test to distinuish the cases that this CL makes passing
and those that are failing due to [1].

Vyacheslav Egorov 54be4bc80e [vm/service] Remove Stack.awaiterFrames
This field was supposed[1] to replace Stack.asyncCausalFrames but IDEs
and other service protocol users never adopted it.

The mechanism for collecting awaiterFrames and asyncCausalFrames
was originally considerably different, but we have since unified
both[2] after we switched to lazy async stack traces[3].

Today the only differences between the two are:

- asyncCausalFrames represens async gaps explicitly, while
  awaiterFrames does not;
- when asynchronous function is running its synchronous part
before the first suspension awaiterFrames will still represent
the corresponding frame as an asynchronous activation, while
asyncCausalFrames will treat the same frame as regular frame.

Consequently having this field does not add any value.

This CL removes it from the response and updates all tests to
test against asyncCausalFrames.

Alexander Markov 2ee6fcf514 [vm] Remove TypeRef
TypeRef type wraps around another type and it was used to represent
a graph of recursive types. After [0], the only use of TypeRef is
for TypeParameter.bound which may indirectly reference the same
TypeParameter.

This change replaces TypeParameter.bound with TypeParameter.owner and
removes TypeRef entirely. Various parts of the VM no longer need to
handle and support TypeRefs.

TypeParameter.owner can reference a FunctionType, Class,
or, as an optimization, it can be set to null in order to share
class type parameters among different classes.

With the exception of the 'TypeParameter.owner' back pointer,
VM types are now not recursive and can be visited without
additional tracking.

Caveats:

* Generic FunctionType cannot be cloned in a shallow way:
when copying a FunctionType, type parameters should be cloned too
and their owners should be updated. For that reason,
a mapping between 'from' and 'to' function types
(FunctionTypeMapping) is maintained during type transformations
  such as InstantiateFrom.
FunctionType::Clone is used instead of Object::Clone where
  appropriate.

* When testing types for subtyping and equivalence, mapping
between function types is passed to make sure
type parameters belong to the equivalent function types.

* IL serializer needs to serialize function types as a whole before
serializing any types potentially pointing into the middle of a
function type (such as return type 'List<Y0>' pointing into
the middle of a function type 'List<Y0> Function<Y0>()').

Alexander Markov 135443706b [vm] Avoid expanding/flattening type arguments vectors in Type objects
Previously, vectors of type arguments were expanded to include type
arguments corresponding to superclasses both in the instances of
generic classes and in Type objects (after type finalization).
As a result, Type objects after finalization could be recursive and
need to use extra TypeRef objects to break loops. The finalization of
types was very complex and sometimes slow.

This change simplifies the representation of Type objects: now they
always have short type argument vectors, corresponding only to
the type parameters of their own classes (both before and after
finalization). Vectors of type arguments in the instances of generic
classes are still expanded/flattened.

This greatly simplifies type finalization, makes Type objects
non-recursive and removes the need to create and handle excessive
TypeRefs for type arguments corresponding to superclasses,
as those type arguments are no longer included into types.
The only remaining use of TypeRefs is for bounds of type parameters.

In order to expand/flatten type arguments, new methods Type::GetInstanceTypeArguments / Class::GetInstanceTypeArguments
are introduced. They build canonical declaration type arguments
once (for each class), and then instantiate them as needed.

There are also simple helper methods to shrink type arguments (TypeArguments::FromInstanceTypeArguments) and expand type arguments without filling type arguments corresponding to superclasses (TypeArguments::ToInstantiatorTypeArguments).

Time of edge case 'regress_51960_test' 15min -> 300ms.

Ben Konyi a62bfec074 [ Service ] Allow for case insensitive URI mappings on Windows and MacOS
The Windows and MacOS file system can be case insensitive, so the following
two URIs can be equivalent:

 - file:///c:/foo/bar
 - file:///C:/Foo/Bar

Since it's possible for tooling to request a mapping for a URI that
isn't an exact case-sensitive match to that found in the URI mappings
cache, requesting a mapping for the inexact match will fail even though
the paths are potentially equivalent.

This change allows for lookupPackageUris and lookupResolvedPackageUris
to correctly handle paths that are not case-sensitive matches to entries
in the URI mappings cache on Windows and MacOS.

Alexander Markov 3675fd25f4 [vm] Packed representation of record shape
The representation of record shape in record instances and record
types is changed from a pair

  int num_fields
  Array field_names

to a single integer - packed bitfield

  int num_fields(16)
  int field_names_index(kSmiBits-16)

where field names index is an index in the array available from
ObjectStore.

With the new representation of record shapes:
1) Size of record instances is reduced.
2) Number of comparisons for a shape test reduced from 2 to 1
(shape test is used during type checks).
3) A few operations removed from Record.hashCode.
4) Type testing stubs (TTS) are now supported for record types with
named fields. Previously it was not possible to check shape of records
with named fields in TTS as TTS cannot access object pool and cannot
load field names array).

DESCRIPTION:
Setting the `stream` parameter on `developer.postEvent` will now forward those events to a custom stream inside DDS.

The first use of this will be for widget inspection. A navigation event will be posted to a custom stream. Our IDE DAP can listen for the Event and react to it by navigating to the desired location in the code.

TEST=Made sure that regression from original PR could be reproduced, and then resolved by applying this change. Updated observatory tests. Created new developer test to check assertions.
