Liam Appelbe e4196ce8c6 [vm] Namespace constants like offsets and sizeofs to use runtime_api.h
Second sub-CL of https://dart-review.googlesource.com/c/sdk/+/100644
The first was here https://dart-review.googlesource.com/c/sdk/+/103487

Now that offsets_extractor is checked in, and we have a big header full
of hard coded constants, the next step is to make sure everything is
using those constants. This is essentially everything in the original
CL, except the new simarm_x64 architecture.

Aart Bik b0727bd661 [dart/vm] enhanced graph checker
Rationale:
Refactored existing verify uses (with some overlap and some
additional checks) into the graph checker. Also added more
verification code and repaired some inconsistencies in IR
found by new checker. However, some checks are disabled with
a TODO, since the IR does not currently meet all the stricter
assumptions. Fixes will follow.

Before this CL the range analysis was only constraining bounds for the
JIT-based CheckArrayBounds. This CL enables doing the same for
GenericCheckBound by extracting a common base class and make the range

Martin Kustermann 94362f1af0 [vm] Unify internal/external/view typed data into new RawTypedDataBase class
This moves the length field as well as an inner pointer to the start of
the data into the RawTypedDataBase class. The inner pointer is updated
on allocation, scavenges and old space compactions.

To avoid writing more assembly the typed data view factory constructors
will be generated using IL, which will update the inner pointer. This
required adding new IR instructions and changing the existing
UnboxedIntConverter instruction.

This is the foundation work to de-virtualize calls on the public typed
data types, e.g. Uint8List.

When eliminating bounds checks using loop information the length of
GenericBoundsCheckInstr is directly compared to the loop bound.

Instead we should compare the original definitions, ignoring any
boxing/unboxing. This allows the elimination of more bounds checks.

Martin Kustermann d445d29fa3 [VM] Define layout of _*ArrayView/_ByteDataView in C+++
This removes the 3 fields from the classes in Dart and instead describes
the layout in C++ via a RawTypedDataView class (as already do with
normal RawTypedData). The existing "semi" TypedDataView handle class is
changed to be a real handle class.

This decreases performance of some microbenchmarks due to field guards
not being used anymore (before the JIT could add a field guard to view classes
guarding that only normal typed data is used as backing store (and not e.g. external

Vyacheslav Egorov ed5bc9c538 [vm] Fix AssertAssignable strengthening sometimes using wrong deopt_id.
For some reason this code used deopt_id from the environment attached
to the AssertAssignable instruction, rather than deopt_id from the
instruction itself.

Under certain conditions this deopt_id is -1 which usually does
not cause any problems because no other code uses it.

Compiler is now changed in a way that only sets Environment::deopt_id_
for outer environments and innermost environment always has deopt_id_ set
to DeoptId::kNone.

This bug manifested itself as a very rare crash on lib_2/convert/chunked_conversion_utf8_test.dart
test on optcounter bot.

This change also converts an assertion that verifies that deoptimization target
always exists into a FATAL to make such crashes more informative.

Rationale:
Replacing the simple induction analysis in the range analyzer
with the new framework for finding induction variables removes
a lot of code and even saves some memory in the IR (for phis).
Note that this is only the first phase, i.e. using the new

second phase, the new framework will be fully exploited to
compute more accurate ranges in many more cases.

Vyacheslav Egorov ddbe22190c [vm/compiler] Refactor representation of stores and loads in IL.
Make StoreIntanceField and LoadField instructions use a single uniform
abstraction: Slot (used to be called NativeFieldDesc), which represents
either a real Dart field (i.e. a field that has a corresponding Field object)
or a native VM field that does not have a corresponding Field object.

This refactoring eliminates raw stores/loads that were just using offsets
before - now we always know what kind of slots we are accessing and
this yields better aliasing information.

Martin Kustermann 06f9a9e354 [VM] Introduce function and osr entrypoints to the VM's IR
Similar to how we treat catch entry instructions, this cl adds new
function and osr entry instructions. The [FunctionEntry] and
[OsrEntry] - just like [CatchBlockEntry] - have now their own initial
definitions. The [GraphEntry] has only initial definitions for
constants.

Explicit phis are inserted for all parameter / special parameter
instructions if necessary.

Future work is:

  a) Minimize parallel moves due to the phis on parameters
  b) Cleanup frame setup: Move it entirely into FunctionEntry/CatchEntry
(instead of the split version we have now)

Aart Bik 5b6220d44d [vm/compiler] Start of loop framework
Rationale:
Started a more structured implementation of detecting
loops and the loop hierarchy in the Dart flow graph.
This new framework can replace some of the more ad-hoc
approach taken now, as already started in this CL, and
also forms a foundation for more optimizations later.

Aart Bik a6f4b8d879 [vm/compiler] Fix crashes in AOT X64 DEBUG compiler.
Rationale:
The method ConstructReplacementFor() in range analysis would unconditionally
replace an UnaryInt64Op with an UnaryUint32Op, regardless of whether it contains
an NEGATE or NOT. None of the backends supports a NEGATE UnaryUint32Op,
however (I added a missing assert to X64 for the future, even though we currently
found the issue in the constructor already). Note that alternatively we could implement
NEGATE UnaryUint32Op for all platforms.

Note:
A similar issue was found for TRUNCDIV with a second fuzz test, which is fixed
in same CL with a more general approach.

This allows optimizer to eliminate redundant code branching on type_args_len
which arises when inlining generic methods.

Start refactoring how loads of native fields are represented: instead of simply
setting a bunch of unrelated attributes introduce NativeFieldDesc structure
that captures attributes of native fields, which don't have representation
as Field objects.

Over the time we should be able to eliminate "raw" LoadField/StoreInstanceField
instructions that just address fields by their offset and use NativeFieldDesc-s
in load forwarding to disambiguate different native fields that happen to
have the same offset.

Alexander Markov 1a1c7693d2 [VM/compiler] Fix range analysis for 64-bit fixed-size integers
This CL corrects handling of overflows in range analysis to
account for wrap-around (which happens with new integer semantics).

* If there is an overflow while doing computations in range
analysis, the resulting range is approximated as full int64 range.

* For symbolic range boundaries 'symbol + offset', offset is checked
to stay within [kMinInt64 - kSmiMin, kMaxInt64 - kSmiMax] in order
to guarantee that overflow doesn't occur.
