Jenny Messerly f68ae70e8e [dartdevc] ensure all throws are wrapped in JS Error (#33331)
This improves the default JS display of exceptions/errors from DDC
compiled code. This gives a better "default" experience if JS code
(or a JS engine, like browers/Node.js) ends up catching Dart exceptions.

Paul Berry 28c78b9d46 Add an assertion to check consistency of ExperimentalFeature constants.
This uncovered a bug in dev_compiler that was showing up at compile
time--it was defaulting the enableAsserts flag to null, causing a null
pointer exception during kernel constant evaluation.

Martin Kustermann f5d1229081 Reland "[VM] Inline ClassID.getID() eagerly, extend pattern matching logic to recognize it, use it to special case ascii decoding"
This change extends/fixes the exiting "pattern recognition" which tries
to recognize the pattern

  v2 <- LoadClassIdInstr(v1)
  BranchIf v2 == IntegerConstant(cid)

Furthermore we start inlining the recognized `ClassID.getID` method very
early in the pipeline. This allows the VM to recognize the above
pattern and insert redefinitions before the actual inlining pass.

Furthermore we special-case two very hot methods in utf8 decoding by
manually having two loops, one of which is guarded by a class-id check
against the _Uint8ArrayView class, which is most common. (In the future
we would like to unify the typed data layouts so we no longer need to
use `ClassId.getID`, thereby also allowing non core library code to use
this).

This improves dart-aot by
  * 31%+ for a protobuf decoding benchmark we care about

Jenny Messerly 1e186ad9cb [dartdevc] fix build times by only linking input sources
DDC was incorrectly re-linking transitive dependencies, so build times
continued to increase as the build progressed, with the application
itself performing the worst. With this fix, DDC is not on the critical
path and compiles are all very short.

This happened using APIs like `Stream.first` that set cancelOnError when
they called `Stream.listen()`. If an error is signaled, Stream internals
will call `cancel()` and wait for that future to complete before sending
the error to the resulting Future. However the `async*` implementation
class did not properly account for that possiblity, and never completed
the cancellation future in that case.

This is similar to the analyzer backend's optimization for fields, but
it also supports private methods and accessors.

Also fixes #34769, checks were missing for explicit covariant fields
and those are now generated (this is for fields of the form
`covariant SomeType fieldName`--implicitly covariant fields in generic
classes were already checked correctly).

Paul Berry 5dc2156ba4 Cherry-pick be815e1a86 to analyzer branch
Original commit message:

[dartdevc] fix #35013, move DDC off Analyzer task model

    The new file pkg/dev_compiler/lib/src/analyzer/driver.dart handles
building the linked summary for a build unit, and then is capable of
    doing analysis using LibraryAnalyzer.

The algorithm is very similar to analyzer_cli's build mode. The
biggest difference is that `dartdevc` has existing support for
discovering source files from the explicit source list (rather than
requiring every source to be listed on the command line). We don't want
to break that support, so there's a bit of logic to follow imports,
    exports, and parts.

After the linked summary is produced, DDC gets the analysis results
(errors and resolved AST) for each library, and compiles it into a JS
    module.

Lasse Reichstein Holst Nielsen 26121608a1 Make DateTime not assume arguments are instances of the same class.
The current DateTime class takes DateTime objects as arguments,
and then tries to access private members.
That does not work if someone else implements the DateTime interface.

Jenny Messerly c0c3fc4c5f [dartdevc] fix #34596, hot restart can now clear field & cache state
This adds a method to the internal SDK runtime library that can be
called to clear state when a hot restart is desired.

This also refactors some of the logic around ignoring type errors,
as we need to ensure we can clear those caches. Also I noticed a bug
where the result of isSubtypeOf was assumed to be non-null, but this
was not the case. The new structure should make this more clear.

(Note: I think we may be able to remove a lot of the code for ignoring
type errors soon.)

Dan Field 6e23c3b3cb Support SO_REUSEPORT and IP_MULTICAST_TTL for datagram sockets.
mDNS queries (and many other local queries) should be allowed to set
their TTL to 255. This patch enables that on all platforms.

On macOS in particular, a system service reserves the mDNS port. The
socket option SO_REUSEPORT is required in addition to SO_REUSEADDR to
successfully bind there; the flag is also supported on Linux, so this
patch allows it to be used there as well (but prints an error message if
it's used on any other platform).

I could use some guidance as to tests for this - is it support availble
for running tests only on specific platforms?

Peter von der Ahé a2aa6c8414 Consolidate DDC dependencies on front_end
We're consolidating all dependencies on package:front_end in one file per tool.

The idea is, if you want to depend on something in the package:front_end, you
modify pkg/front_end/lib/src/api_unstable/ddc.dart and consult with the
front-end team.

These consolidated files will help us when designing a public API in the
future.

Jenny Messerly 472c898c87 [dartdevc] fix for-in loop variable shadowing a var used in initialzer
Dart for-in loops allow `var x = [1]; for (var x in x) {}`, which is not
allowed in JS. If this pattern is detected, a temporary variable is
introduced so the for-in initializer expression is evaluated outside of
the JS for-of loop.

(This issue seems to be unique to for-in loops. For loops and other
kinds of variable declarations of the form `var x = ...` are not
allowed to use `x` in the initializer, even if `x` is declared in an
outer scope.)

Also fixes an out-of-date comment in the DDC+Analyzer backend.
