Alexander Markov e3edfd36b2 [vm/snapshots] Finalize and sort all classes in snapshots with compilation trace
This ensures that core-jit snapshots used in Fuchsia (built according
to the compilation trace) would have properly sorted cids without any
gaps with non-finalized classes. This enables merging of cid ranges in
more cases and more efficient cid checks.

Teagan Strickland a17b52c2c1 Revert "[vm, compiler] Unoptimized megamorphic calls."
This reverts commit fde6a5917e.

Reason for revert: This commit looks to be causing new test failures on dart2js. While there are some odd results on some builders that look like infra failures, some builders (for example, dart2js-minified-strong-linux-x64-d8) show the new failing tests clearly.

Martin Kustermann ab6aeaa106 [vm/kernel] Use GC-tracked ExternalTypedData/TypedDataView for kernel buffers
Until now we often leaked kernel buffers (e.g. hot reload buffers) because various
objects were referencing ExternalTypedData objects pointing into the middle of
c-allocated memory. This made it impossible for the GC to determine when the last
reference is gone.

This CL ensures that the actual buffers are *always* made available via
ExternalTypedData and any inner pointers into it are created via TypedDataViews.

The embedder guarantees to the free kernel buffers it has provided to:
    - Dart_CreateIsolateFromKernel
    - Dart_LoadScriptFromKernel
    - Dart_LoadLibraryFromKernel
    - Dart_SetDartLibrarySourcesKernel
on isolate shutdown.

All other kernel buffers will get a finalizer attached, which ensures the
kernel buffers get freed by the GC once they are no longer referenced:
    - Kernel blobs for expression evaluation
    - Kernel blobs for Hot-Reload
    - Kernel blobs for cc tests

Ryan Macnak fde6a5917e [vm, compiler] Unoptimized megamorphic calls.
When an instance call in unoptimized code creates more than FLAG_max_polymorphic_checks cases, switch the call to use a MegamorphicCache instead of ICData. The prevents unbounded collection of type feedback, and gives improvements on microbenchmarks in the 3-8% range for unoptimized code.

It also leads to a loss of target frequency information for the optimizer, leading to different ordering for range checks in polymorphic inlining. This leads to changes on megamorphic microbenchmarks from -31% to +60%, weighted toward the negative end.

In practice the frequency information seems unimportant, as dart2js has 4.01% geomean improvement.

This is a step toward direct monomorphic calls in unoptimized code, which will also make use of the patching and type feedback extraction added here.

When a mixin class is created, there might be anonymous closures copied over to the other script.
Previously the script of closure function is the script of its parent function, which is not true in that case.
The solution is to create a patch class as the owner if parent function has a different script object. Return script of owner when query for script of closure function.

Alexander Markov c532458e09 [vm/compiler] Fix for flaky crash in CallSpecializer::ReplaceWithInstanceOf

when running

tools/test.py --repeat 5000 -n dartkb-mixed-linux-debug-x64 language_2/null_test

at the rate ~1-3 crashes per 30,000 test cases.

The problem is that in function

bool InstanceCallInstr::MatchesCoreName(const String& name) {
  return function_name().raw() == Library::PrivateCoreLibName(name).raw();
}

'function_name().raw()' is evaluated before PrivateCoreLibName(name) is called
and saved in a temporary (register). PrivateCoreLibName may trigger GC and
relocate objects. In such case, 'PrivateCoreLibName(name).raw()' results in a
moved object, which is compared to a stale object address.

This CL fixes InstanceCallInstr::MatchesCoreName and other similar places
by introducing Library::IsPrivateCoreLibName, which is also a little bit more
efficient as it avoids extra symbol table lookup.

Stevie Strickland 4028fec3b5 Reland "[vm] Finish adding support for ECMAScript 2018 features."
This work pulls in v8 support for these features with
appropriate changes for Dart and closes
https://github.com/dart-lang/sdk/issues/34935.

This adds support for the following features:

* Interpreting patterns as Unicode patterns instead of
  BMP patterns
* the dotAll flag (`/s`) for changing the behavior
  of '.' to also match line terminators
* Escapes for character classes described by Unicode
  property groups (e.g., \p{Greek} to match all Greek
  characters, or \P{Greek} for all non-Greek characters).

The following TC39 proposals describe some of the added features:

* https://github.com/tc39/proposal-regexp-dotall-flag
* https://github.com/tc39/proposal-regexp-unicode-property-escapes

These additional changes are included:

* Extends named capture group names to include the full
  range of identifier characters supported by ECMAScript,
  not just ASCII.
* Changing the RegExp interface to return RegExpMatch
  objects, not Match objects, so that downcasting is
  not necessary to use named capture groups from Dart

**Note**: The changes to the RegExp interface are a
breaking change for implementers of the RegExp interface.
Current users of the RegExp interface (i.e., code using Dart
RegExp objects) will not be affected.

Over time this also allows for `LoadedScripts()` to be simplified and

Martin Kustermann aa9ce0f122 Revert "[vm] Repair the resolver abstraction, take 2."
This reverts commit d79787771e.

Reason for revert:

This caused significant performance regressions on our protobuf_decode* benchmarks (probably on more benchmarks, but we don't yet have results due to some perf infra issue).

To avoid letting the regressions land for downstream users we'll revert it.

We should measure performance impact before landing this again.

This moves the length field as well as an inner pointer to the start of
the data into the RawTypedDataBase class. The inner pointer is updated
on allocation, scavenges and old space compactions.

To avoid writing more assembly the typed data view factory constructors
will be generated using IL, which will update the inner pointer. This
required adding new IR instructions and changing the existing
UnboxedIntConverter instruction.

This is the foundation work to de-virtualize calls on the public typed
data types, e.g. Uint8List.

Alexander Markov 61f0f5bc43 [vm/bytecode] Declare members in bytecode
This change replaces kernel AST declarations of fields and functions
with bytecode declarations.

Size of dilp files is reduced by 11-12%.

Startup latency:
Time to the first full frame: 1.945s -> 1.687s
FinalizeClass: 554ms -> 277ms
FinishClassLoading: 296ms -> 156ms

There are following regressions in bytecode mode, which will be fixed
in future:

* dart:mirrors are not supported yet (implementation of mirrors relies
  on reading kernel AST in certain cases).

  As the result, lib_2/mirrors/* tests fail.

* native extensions are not supported yet (annotations on libraries
  and classes in AST are cleaned up as they could reference members
  which are now removed from AST).

  As the result, standalone_2/entrypoints_verification_test test fails.

* language_2/spread_collections/const_error_test/* tests fail
  due to https://github.com/dart-lang/sdk/issues/36286.

Ben Konyi 432e5faeda [VM / Service] Update core library source loading to use resolved_url
Source URIs for the core libraries in kernel take the form of
`org-dartlang-sdk://'. Previously, we had to do some manual
modifications to the URI stored by script objects which pointed to core
library scripts as they were often replaced with `dart:*` of being an
actual URI. Now that we have resolved_uri() in Script, we can use this
method to get the `org-dartlang-sdk://` URI and avoid the brittle
hacking of URIs.

For example, the resolved URI for the 'dart:io' script is
`org-dartlang-sdk:///sdk/lib/io/io.dart`.
