Zachary Anderson 103881d01c Make header include guards great again
i.e. #ifndef VM_WHATEVER -> #ifndef RUNTIME_VM_WHATEVER

This lets us remove a hack from the PRESUBMIT.py script that existed
for reasons that are no longer valid, and sets us up to add some
presubmit checks for the GN build.

Ryan Macnak 7ff2dd4117 Optimize AOT's switchable calls for the monomorphic case.
The call sequence is very similar to a classic IC call, except the guarded class and the target are loaded indirectly from the constant pool instead of as immediates. In the monomorphic case, we call directly to the expected target with a class check in the callee. In the unlinked, polymorphic and megamorphic cases, we call a stub; these case are now call-through instead of call-and-return.

Every code, except stubs involved in switchable calls, includes the class check sequence at the beginning. So we now distinguish between a checked and an unchecked entry point. Generated code except the switchable call continues to use the unchecked entry point.

PC offsets are calculated relative to the beginning of the instruction stream, rather than either entry point.

Vyacheslav Egorov ee0f608ce4 Dart Byte Code interpreter.
This version is Clang/GCC only and does not support Windows because it uses computed goto's.

Only unoptimized mode is supported.

Architecture is described in constants_dbc.h and stack_frame_dbc.h.

Ryan Macnak 04e8382cec VM: Share object pool entries for optimized static calls.
Independently patchable entries are not required for debugging because breakpoints are only added to unoptimized code, nor for deopt because deopt patches the instruction stream and not the object pool.

Future work: Reduce the static call table from (pc offset, function, code) triples to (pc offset, function or allocation stub) pairs.

Florian Schneider bac82e2592 VM: New calling convention for generated code.
Instead of calling code object directly, call indirectly and
pass the code object in a register. The object pool is then loaded from
the code object. This is another preparation step for making generated code
relocatable.

All non-ia32 platforms:
No entry patching.

ARM:
PC marker (now code object) moves to the same place as on x64 (below saved PP, above saved FP).
R9 is now used as PP, R10 as CODE_REG.

John McCutchan baa34257fc Track prologue offset of Code and use for more precise return addresses
- Remember the prologue offset in the Code object.
- Size of Code object does not change.
- Use the prologue offset to assist in locating the return address of the current frame.
- Prologue offset + instruction pattern matching will be accurate for all Dart code, most intrinsic prefixed Dart code, and some stub code.
- By default only collect Dart frames (normal Dart developers only care about Dart frames)

fschneider@google.com 1e7310d48f Improve constant pool implementation in the assembler.
Instead of using RawObject* as keys, use Object*. Using handles eliminates any assumption
about the underlying GC implementation (e.g. requiring that old objects don't move).

Remove special handling of null_object by making HashMap more generic and
allowing the trait to specify the value used to indicate an empty element.

The goal is to use one unified, efficient implementation of the constant
pool on all architectures that require one (x64, arm64, mips).

fschneider@google.com d6178535b2 Landing: Write protect executable pages in the VM.
Change executable pages to be read/execute but not writable by default.

All pages are made temporarily writable just before a full GC, because both
the mark and sweep phases write to the pages. When allocating in a page and
when patching code, the pages are made temporarily writable.

The order of allocation of Code and Instructions objects is changed so that
a GC will not occur after Instructions is allocated. (A full GC would
render the Instructions unwritable.) A scoped object is used to make memory
protection simpler.

I added a cc test that is expected to crash.

turnidge@google.com 2803d78dfd Change the zone allocation api.
Instead of passing a size in bytes to the allocation function, we now
have a templatized Alloc function:

  zone->Alloc<Type>(len)

This is better for security, as we can check for integer overflow in
the size computation before performing the allocation. Before, we
often failed to check this.

sgjesse@google.com bf67f24098 Move assert.h/assert.cc from runtime/vm to runtime/platform
The purpose of this change is twofold:

1. Source in the bin directory can now use the same assertions as
source in the vm directory. The ASSERT macro used by the code
in runtime/bin was just defined to use assert from the standard
   C library.
2. Moving other implementation parts from runtime/vm to
runtime/platform (e.g. classes Monitor and Mutex) for sharing
between runtime/bin and runtime/vm will be easier as these
implementations rely on these assertion macros.

Created two gypi files for the platform directory. One for the
headers and one for the source. The source one is only included
when building the VM library and will be present in libdart.a
when the dart executable is linked.

All the code for asserts is still in the dart namespace.

Also re-arranged the order of includes to be alphabetically in
the files touched.
