Ryan Macnak 19e5899a02 [vm] Switch most non-Instances to compressed pointers.
The following are not compressed: Code, ObjectPool, Context, CallSiteData and subclasses.

Code::instructions_ is uncompressible because the VM doesn't control the address of Instructions when they are loaded via dynamic library.

Loads from the ObjectPool are a frequent occurrence in generated code, and shrinking ObjectPool entries would be offset by longer code sequences to decompress them. Also, some ObjectPool entries contain uncompressible pointers to C functions.

Context is not compressed based on reports from earlier work on compressed pointers that compressing them is disproporately bad for performance. The earlier work used a different, more-expensive compression scheme, so we should reinvestigate this.

CallSiteData et al. are on the hot path for unoptimized code but make up a comparatively small portion of the heap size.

Currently we have things called XPtr which are not what you get from ptr().

Old world:
handle->raw() returns RawObject* (tagged)
raw_obj->ptr() returns RawObject* (untagged)

After 6fe15f6df9:
handle->raw() returns ObjectPtr
obj_ptr->ptr() returns ObjectLayout*

New world:
handle->ptr() returns ObjectPtr
obj_ptr->untag() returns UntaggedObject*

Martin Kustermann 0f76981bb1 [vm/concurrency] Change references to class_table/object_store/heap from Isolate to IsolateGroup
As part of making the compiler and other subsystems independent
of `Isolate` we have to move various state from `Isolate` to
`IsolateGroup`.

The class_table and object_store were already moved to `IsolateGroup`.

This CL only replaces usages of `Isolate::{object_store,class_table}`
with the equivalent in `IsolateGroup`.

Issue https://github.com/dart-lang/sdk/issues/36097

TEST=Pure refactoring - relying on existing test coverage.

This removes our temporary scaffolding support for JIT isolate groups
(which was implemented by creating a new isolate group, loading the
application kernel into it and then merging the heap into the original
isolate group - maintaining a different object store)

It makes all isolates within a group share the same object store, same
libraries and JITed code. It will be conservative to start with, only
allow running unoptimized code, etc.

We will gradually remove the restrictions imposed by this CL:

An address containing an object header is sometimes interpreted as a object slot due to array truncation and concurrent marking/sweeping. Always accessing it as a word assuages TSAN that it won't be subject to tearing, and allows for the removal of TSAN suppressions from header access. In turn, this will allow TSAN to verify some acquire/release header accesses.

Ryan Macnak 19e6ae22b2 [vm, gc] Do not FATAL when the scavenger fails to allocate.
With the introduction of paged new-space, it became possible for the scavenger to fail to allocate if old-space could not grow and survivors did not pack after being reordered, and the scavenger would FATAL out. Long before that, the scavenger could fail to allocate the other semispace and FATAL out. Now an allocation failure causes the scavenge to abort, and partial forwarding to be reversed.

Ryan Macnak 160046f44c [vm] Move CID predicates out of RawObject.
When using C++ value types to represent tagged pointers, we cannot use forward declarations for tagged pointers. This helps to break include cycles when attempting to keep IsXYZ predicates as tagged pointer member functions.

class_id.h also seems like a more natural place for these predicates, which were written before there was a class_id.h.

Martin Kustermann 2d97e97feb [vm/concurrency] Make isolates return their TLAB on unscheduling and re-acquire on scheduling
When a mutator get's de-scheduled, it should not hold on to it's TLAB
during the time there is nothing to do to ensure other threads which
are scheduled and ready can use it.

When having many isolates this can improve the performance by 10x+.

This reverts commit 922ea3e9b6 in patchset 1, fix for assertion triggered in https://ci.chromium.org/b/8883214567628884960 in patchset 2, fix for deadlock around symbols table mutex in patchset 4.

Original commit description:

Speed up is achieved by sharing most of the dart code, object store
and class table between isolates in single isolate group. So
instead of bootstrapping isolate from the snapshot, isolate is
initialized by setting pointers to existing data structures already
set up for first isolate, and only few isolate-specific structures (moved
to newly introducted isolate_object_store) are created.

To allow for safe cross-isolate switchable call site, type test cache
mutations additional synchronization via RunWithStoppedMutators(that
relies on safepoints) was added.
Besides switchable call sites, no other mutation to the dart code is
done in AOT, which allows such sharing.

Three bugs were fixed:

1. BitVector::Equals was not fully fixed by the original CL.
2. We need to add old objects to the deferred marking queue during

3. The thread being scanned in RestoreWriteBarrierInvariant may not
   be scheduled, so we cannot use its store buffer block.
