Martin Kustermann d445d29fa3 [VM] Define layout of _*ArrayView/_ByteDataView in C+++
This removes the 3 fields from the classes in Dart and instead describes
the layout in C++ via a RawTypedDataView class (as already do with
normal RawTypedData). The existing "semi" TypedDataView handle class is
changed to be a real handle class.

This decreases performance of some microbenchmarks due to field guards
not being used anymore (before the JIT could add a field guard to view classes
guarding that only normal typed data is used as backing store (and not e.g. external
typed data)

Alexander Markov b1a3629547 [vm] Move receiver variable to ParsedFunction, add ParameterVariable()
This refactoring moves receiver variable (previously known as this_variable)
from ScopeBuildingResult into ParsedFunction, like other special variables.
This is done as ScopeBuildingResult is AST-specific and not available
in bytecode, but certain flow graph builders use receiver variable
(for example to load instantiator type arguments for type arguments
checks).

This CL also introduces convenience ParsedFunction::ParameterVariable()
method to reduce repetitive incantations

  parsed_function->node_sequence()->scope()->VariableAt(..)

to a more readable

  parsed_function->ParameterVariable(..)

Vyacheslav Egorov ed5bc9c538 [vm] Fix AssertAssignable strengthening sometimes using wrong deopt_id.
For some reason this code used deopt_id from the environment attached
to the AssertAssignable instruction, rather than deopt_id from the
instruction itself.

Under certain conditions this deopt_id is -1 which usually does
not cause any problems because no other code uses it.

Compiler is now changed in a way that only sets Environment::deopt_id_
for outer environments and innermost environment always has deopt_id_ set
to DeoptId::kNone.

This bug manifested itself as a very rare crash on lib_2/convert/chunked_conversion_utf8_test.dart
test on optcounter bot.

This change also converts an assertion that verifies that deoptimization target
always exists into a FATAL to make such crashes more informative.

Martin Kustermann 084e98e3a3 [VM] Ensure that a newly allocated object is either new or added to remembered set if we want to eliminate write barriers to it
For all non-generic classes the AllocateObject runtime call would not
guarantee that the returned object is new or marked as remembered. If
such an object is subject to a store with an eliminated write-barrier,
we have incorrect remembered set, which causes flaky crashes.

This CL fixes the AllocateObject runtime call to always ensure the
object is new or added to the remembered set if write-barrier
elimination is enabled for those.

Furthermore the conditions for when the write barrier can be eliminated
is centralized in one place instead of duplicated (in runtime_entry.cc
and il.h) to avoid future divergence of the two.

Similarly the condition to when an array uses card marking is put into
one place.

(1) makes implicit control dependence of a null check
    explicit by means of data dependence (already

    runtime/docs/compiler/data_dep_for_control_dep.md
(2) improves CSE properties of various IL nodes
(3) allows LICM on invariant code that may-throw

This is the next step towards preventing compiler from directly peeking

This CL decouples the hand-written intrinsifier code from the runtime:

  * the recognized methods list is moved to a separate .h file
  * all intrinsifier code is moved into dart::compiler namespace

Aart Bik e02399da33 [vm/compiler] Introduce graph checker
Rationale:
This is a start with a graph checker that verifies
the consistency of the flow graph after each compiler
pass with the goal of detecting errors as early as
possible. The checks add overhead, so are only run
in debug mode. The objective is that all written
and unwritten assumptions on the flow graph that
are relatively easy to check will be converted
into actual code.

Vyacheslav Egorov f496e538f4 [vm] Decouple assemblers from runtime.
This is the next step towards preventing compiler from directly peeking
into runtime and instead interact with runtime through a well defined
surface. The goal of the refactoring to locate all places where compiler
accesses some runtime information and partion those accesses into two
categories:

- creating objects in the host runtime (e.g. allocating strings, numbers, etc)
during compilation;
- accessing properties of the target runtime (e.g. offsets of fields) to
embed those into the generated code;

This change introduces dart::compiler and dart::compiler::target namespaces.

All code in the compiler will gradually be moved into dart::compiler namespace.
One of the motivations for this change is to be able to prevent access to
globally defined host constants like kWordSize by shadowing them in the
dart::compiler namespace.

The nested namespace dart::compiler::target hosts all information about
target runtime that compiler could access, e.g. compiler::target::kWordSize
defines word size of the target which will eventually be made different
from the host kWordSize (defined by dart::kWordSize).

The API for compiler to runtime interaction is placed into compiler_api.h.

Note that we still permit runtime to access compiler internals directly -
this is not going to be decoupled as part of this work.

It's no longer necessary to prove that a phi will fit into 64 bits to unbox it,

Also, we add a new heuristic to always unbox a phi if all inputs are unboxed.

This improves MD5 performance on ARM32 AOT by 27%, matching existing JIT performance.

Martin Kustermann be47aad327 [VM/Compiler/AOT] Bare instructions 9: Improve write barrier on ARM/ARM64/X64
ARM write barrier goes from

   ldrne lr, [thr, #+508]
   blxne lr
to
   blne <offset>

ARM64 write barrier goes from (similarly X64)

   beq +8
   ldrx lr, [thr, #1056]
   blr lr
to
   beq +4
   bl <offset>

It reduces RX on arm/arm64 by around 0.9%

Though the write barrier wrappers stub has multiple entrypoints (one for
each available register). Because of this, we modify the relocation
logic to support per-call offsets into the target.

To avoid making the assembler code depend on StubCode/FlowGraphCompiler,
we set a closure, which the assembler can call.

Aart Bik c701e76506 [vm/compiler] handle non-nullable null situation better
Rationale:
Previously, we avoided introducing redefinitions that
introduced the empty non-nullable null type. This situation
arises when we do a null check on an actual null value
(making all subsequent uses effectively dead code). This
is too simple, however, since it still allows hoisting the
uses before the check. This CL gives a better solution
by introducing redefinitions without a constraining type
(which are not removed and avoid the type). In the long
run perhaps the best solution would be to simply remove
all subsequent uses as dead.

Martin Kustermann ca2db2ad53 [VM/Compiler/AOT] Bare instructions 8: Improve AOT code by using pc-relative calls
This CL improves AOT code for StackOverflowInstr/CheckNullInstr:

  * On ARM we can do a conditional pc-relative calls for the stack overflow
    checks, getting rid of the slow-paths entirely.

  * On ARM64 we can do pc-relative calls on the slow path, avoiding an
    extra load.

Flutter gallery size impact (in bare instructions mode):
  * ARM: -3.7% RX
  * ARM64: -1.4% RX
