Martin Kustermann dec7b4f5b6 [vm/compiler] Avoid pruning deopt environments during SSA construction
Generally speaking, the optimizing compiler should be able to use
(deopt-id, deopt-environ) of any IR instruction and use it as an eager
deopt target (e.g. optimizing compiler might insert TestCidsInstr
with eager (deopt-id, deopt-environ) from AssertAssignable).

Currently we prune the environment eagerly during SSA construction for
some instructions This pruning breaks the above mechanism, since the
deopt-environ isn't usable as eager deopt target. (It is effectively
changing the environment on the IR instruction to be a lazy-deopt
environment).

This CL makes the [Environment] represent both the eager deopt target as
well as the lazy deopt target. It distinguishes the two by remembering
how many slots the eager deopt target needs to be pruned to come to the
lazy deopt target. The SSA construction will populate this information.

Effectively we move the deopt env pruning from SSA construction to the
place when we need it (e.g. inlining, emitting after-call metadata).

Unboxed int64 are supported on all architectures which Dart VM supports.
The only was to disable support for unboxed int64 is to use

Vyacheslav Egorov d42de4ed06 [vm] Crash on impossible GDT null errors
This CL adds code to detect situations when we hit
null error through GDT call with non-null receiver.

We achieve this by making receiver's cid part of the
GDT calling convention and checking this cid
in runtime entry responsible for throwing the null
error.

This CL is an attempt to narrow down b/179632636

into a single native crash cluster by crashing VM

Martin Kustermann cd104aef6f [vm] Fix deoptimization environment of AssertAssignable
The deoptimization environment of AssertAssignable should not have it's
inputs in it, since those get poped before the call to the
TypeTestingStub.

A lazy deopt should therefore continue in unoptimized code after the TTS
call, without the inputs.

This was discovered by running many lightweight isolates concurrently on
the JIT.

To simplify a regression test we'll add new VM flags that can trigger
deoptimization on any runtime call (optionally filtered by name of
runtime call).

We can use this mechanism to possibly discover more bugs of the same
kind.

Tess Strickland 100e12b6cd [vm/compiler] Copy inlined IDs with token positions.
When creating new instructions that inherit a token position that
represents a source location from another instruction, the inheriting
instruction must also have the same inlining ID in order for the source
position represented by the token position to be looked up in the
correct script.

Force this by wrapping both in a single InstructionSource struct which
is taken by instructions which take token positions instead of just a
token position. That way, it's more work to manually transfer the token
position separately from the inlining ID of the instruction than doing
the right thing of transfering both at once.

To ensure this information is kept consistent, we pass InstructionSource
structs through the FlowGraphCompiler all the way down to the
CodeSourceMapBuilder.

This CL also makes the following changes:

* Cache the upper bound of source positions in scripts and use it to add
a check for if a given real token position is valid for the script
without iterating over the line starts data for each token position.

* Start inlining intervals appropriately when adding descriptor and
null check information to the code source map.

Code size changes are minimal on Flutter gallery in release mode
(<0.05% decrease).

TEST=Existing tests on trybots, with manual checking with
--check-token-positions that previous errors are now removed.

Vyacheslav Egorov 4b5c267dbd [vm/compiler] Support frameless functions
This CL allows register allocator to mark functions as frameless
in AOT bare instructions mode if they don't contain calls (with an
exception for write barrier related calls), don't require
spills and don't use optional or named parameters.

Calls to Write Barrier helper stubs introduce some complexity
on ARM/ARM64, where we need to take into account that return
address needs to be explicitly spilled from LR register. To keep
the code size balance (frame setup vs manual LR spilling on WB
slow path) we allow one instruction with a write barrier
per frameless function.

Flutter Gallery snapshot becomes 800KB smaller (3% reduction), but
APK size for some reason increases by .1%. On a large internal
application effect is much smaller (60K - 0.16% reduction).

Flutter Gallery is disproportionally affected by the change due to
abnormal amount of small getters originating from localizations:
each localized phrase becomes a getter returning a constant on a
localization specific class.

Tess Strickland 42c76fd910 [vm/compiler] Move AssertAssignables out of closure bodies.
This CL moves the final set of checks out of closure bodies and into
dynamic closure call dispatchers. It also adds stubs for checking top
types and null assignability for types only known at runtime.

Fixes https://github.com/dart-lang/sdk/issues/40813 .

Changes in Flutter gallery in release mode:

* arm7: -3.05% total, +0.99% vmisolate, -0.89% isolate,
        -1.20% readonly, -4.43% instructions
* arm8: -3.20% total, +0.99% vmisolate, -0.88% isolate,
        -1.18% readonly, -5.05% instructions

TEST=Run on trybots of all architectures, includes test adjustments where needed.

Tess Strickland 4f73b3374b [vm] Add type slot to SubtypeTestCache.
This CL extends SubtypeTestCache entries with an additional slot that
contains the type being checked, to allow for future uses where
different runtime types can flow through a single checkpoint. This
change is separated from those future uses to determine the impact of
these changes only.

Thus, most SubtypeTestCache checks require the type as an additional
argument, and now the destination type register in TypeTestABI is now
untouched in SubtypeTestCache checks. Since there are currently no plans
for a dynamic InstanceOf test, the one argument SubtypeTestCache is left
unchanged.

Until we add cases in later CLs where the type can differ at the same
AssertAssignable instruction, we could check the type last since it is
currently guaranteed to be the same each time. However, we instead check
it after the instance, which is when it should be checked once we have
AssertAssignable instructions with types only known at runtime. This
avoids having to change it later, but also ensures the measured impact
of these changes can be compared to the impact of later changes.

In addition, this CL also unifies most of the code used by
GenerateInstanceOf (and also GenerateAssertAssignable via
GenerateInlineInstanceof on IA32). This is possible since register use
changes in the helper functions has eliminated the need to push the
instantiator and function type argument registers from TypeTestABI on
non-X64 architectures. By unifying these methods, we ensure that all
architectures appropriately set TypeTestABI::kDstTypeReg when necessary.

TEST=Existing tests on all architectures, change in object_test.cc.

Tess Strickland e7a2fbe692 [vm/compiler] Unify TTS implementations across architectures.
The only architecture-specific part of type testing stubs (TTS) is which
registers get saved/restored across SubtypeTestCache stub calls in the
slow TTS implementation, which is now a register mask constant in the
TypeTestABI struct.

This CL also:

* Creates a single definition of OperandSize in assembler_base.h. Moves
OperandSize into the compiler namespace. assembler_base.h. Renames
constants common to all architectures to neutral names (e.g., kWord =>
kFourBytes), since "word" has different meanings across architectures.

* Creates a new JumpDistance enum for kNearJump/kFarJump in
AssemblerBase and replace existing bool uses with the constants.

* Adds JumpDistance arguments to some of the generalized Assembler
methods so they aren't forced to use far jumps on IA32/X64. These
added JumpDistance arguments are ignored on ARM architectures.

* Adds a new generalized Assembler::LoadIndexedPayload method for
loading indexed objects out of post-header variable-length payloads.

* Moved the OperandSize argument for LoadForOffset and similar methods
on 32-bit ARM from being the first argument to being the second to
last argument just to match other architectures, and to allow it to
have a default value of kFourBytes.

TEST=Run on trybots of all architectures.

Tess Strickland cd7d31950e [vm/compiler] Perform cleanups in subtype test cache stubs.
This CL adds the result register used for subtype test cache stubs to
TypeTestABI. This avoids the hardcoding of the register per-architecture
and allows GenerateCallSubtypeTestStub to be unified into a single
implementation for non-IA32 architectures.

Since the register arguments to GenerateCallSubtypeTestStub were always
either kNoRegister or the same TypeTestABI register across all calls,
those arguments are removed and the appropriate TypeTestABI registers
are considered hardcoded input registers and either implicitly (for
non-IA32) or explicitly (via the stack on IA32) passed to the subtype
tests cache stub being called.

TEST=Tested using our existing test cases, running debug (if available)

To make implicit getters/setters frameless in common cases we use graph

involved).

It also removes the hand-written assembly intrinsics for the getters,
which avoids bugs if boxing-state of field is not the same as
boxing-state of setter/getter.

Previously, AssertAssignable instructions could only be created with a
compile-time AbstractType value for dst_type. Relax this so that
AssertAssignable instructions can be created with a possibly
non-constant Value instead.

This is only an IL-level change for the instruction. Code generation for
AssertAssignable still requires the dst_type Value to be bound to a
constant and is otherwise unchanged from before, thus this should have
no impact on size or speed of generated code. (Generating the
non-constant case will be done in follow-up work.)

Alexander Markov 6e53ac6e4c [vm/nnbd] Fix supertype check in GenerateSubtype1TestCacheLookup
Before calling Subtype1TestCache stub, there was a quick check if
supertype's class id matches tested class id.
Null extends Object, so supertype of Null matches Object.
However, in NNBD strong mode Null is not assignable to Object.

Regis Crelier cfc006a8f4 [VM/nnbd] Fix sharing of type argument vectors (fixes #40451).
Apply the same fix as in https://dart-review.googlesource.com/c/sdk/+/136709
to TypeArguments::CanShareInstantiatorTypeArguments and to TypeArguments::CanShareFunctionTypeArguments.

Move the inlined code performing an instantiation cache lookup to stubs in order to reduce code size.
Add stubs checking nullability of type arguments to share instantiator (or function) type arguments before looking up instantiation cache, and possibly calling into the runtime for instantiation.
Modify constant propagator to instantiate constant type arguments at compile time.

Samir Jindel 4c6a2ab47c Re-land "[vm] Aggressive write-barrier elimination."
Three bugs were fixed:

1. BitVector::Equals was not fully fixed by the original CL.
2. We need to add old objects to the deferred marking queue during
   RememberLiveTemporaries().
3. The thread being scanned in RestoreWriteBarrierInvariant may not
be scheduled, so we cannot use its store buffer block.

In addition, this changed uncovered another bug fixed in:
https://dart-review.googlesource.com/c/sdk/+/138960.

Original CL is in patchset 3.

This reverts commit 30a12a349e.

   JoinEntryInstr::last_instruction()->SuccessorCount() must be used

Victor Lima 8fd8fec185 [vm/aot] Add support to instance calls with unboxed parameters
In order to have instance calls with unboxed parameters, all
the possible targets need to be able to those parameters unboxed.
Then, the methods were partitioned according to the class hierarchy,
and the inferred types from TFA are used to determine the parameters
that could be unboxed.

This is done for non-nullable integer and double parameters, and
return value.

On 1/27/20, the nnbd specification changed weak and strong mode instance checks
to make them behave uniformly across legacy and opted-in libraries.
Therefore, it is not necessary anymore to propagate the library mode in
generated code to the runtime.
