Alexander Aprelev e71bd048e5 [vm, kernel] Fix async stack code traversal in dart2.
With this change debugger requests yield(await) positions from kernel builder so it can confirm which frame handles what exceptions.
This also renames ':completer' to ':async_completer' in constructed kernel, so it is compliant with what VM expects to see(and updates test expectations accordingly).
Further it fixes async stack navigation for sync-async that became default in dart vm since first version went for the review((uses `future` getter, rather than property).
It also makes `future` getter non-debuggable to allow stepping-out of async methods.

Make Handle zone-scoped. Clean up frame counter var name.

Kevin Millikin 65b19ffa3c Translate asserts in the VM-specific async translation
Translate assert statements in async functions. The translation of
the condition subexpression can produce a sequence of statements that
have been hoisted out of it. These need to be guarded so they are
executed only when asserts are enabled.

For this purpose, we introduce an AssertBlock. The semantics of the
assert block:

assert { s0; ...; sn; }

is the same as:

if (assertsEnabled) { s0; ...; sn; }

where assertsEnabled is a more primitive nullary expression that is
true iff. assertions are enabled. We chose not to encode this using a
construct like assertsEnabled because (1) we would have to support it
appearing as an arbitrary expression which we don't currently need
and (2) it requires deeper pattern matching to detect and skip the
guarded code when desired.

The translation is more complicated because if there is a message
subexpression in an assert, it is conditionally evaluated only if the
assert's condition is false.

Kevin Millikin 6fa813d818 Change handling of Kernel static errors
Before: Kernel static errors were represented by throwing a distinguished
error or else by calling a distinguished library const constructor.

Now: Kernel static errors are represented by InvalidExpression. To support
error reporting, InvalidExpression has an optional message and a file
offset. A back end can choose to signal these errors at any time; for
example, when deserializing the binary, or when compiling the procedure
containing the static error, or when the erroneous expression is evaluated
at run time.

InvalidStatement is removed because it can be encoded as ExpressionStatement
of InvalidExpression.

Future work:

* supporting static errors where an expression cannot appear in the AST
* allowing InvalidExpression to contain an Expression for error recovery
* adding a top-level list of static errors and warnings to the binary

Vyacheslav Egorov 9cd7bc724d [VM, Kernel] Fix sync* implementation in checked mode
Change abefb7b432 introduced a typing issue
instead of fixing it: _SyncIterator<T>._current was actually used to return
either a value of type T (for yield) or value of type Iterable<T> (for yield*)
from the move callback.

This change refactors implementation of _SyncIterator in such a way that
_current is only used to return value for yield and a separate field
_yieldEachIterable is used to return Iterable<T> for yield*.

Vyacheslav Egorov c6815e8522 Reapply 0489249d29 with a fix for front_end tests.
Proper sequencing of _asyncStackTraceHelper in Kernel

This helper function was being called before its argument was
initialized so it was passing null. Instead, it should be called
after its argument is initialized.

Because the initialization happens in Kernel code, it is simplest to
insert the call explicitly in Kernel code as well as part of the async
transformation. This has the consequence that we now call the helper
function even when the flag causal_async_stacks is false.

Konstantin Shcheglov 77d4eb609b Use LibraryIndex in CoreTypes instead of extending it.
A smaller step this time - change only clients, but keep implementation
the same for now.

Not all patched SDKs have all classes and procedures, so I have to make
some them lazy. All of them could be done for consistency, but this
might slightly affect performance for often used dart:core classes.

Also it's a bit of mess now.
Maybe group these classes into logical structures, coreTypes.core.list,
coreTypes.async.future, coreTypes.async.futureMicrotask, etc. Something
like it was before this change, but fixed types and names instead of
more flexible (but in general slower) strings.

Jens Johansen 4c38b85cb5 [kernel] set dartAsyncMarker to Sync for continuations
After 89b68e905b debugging of async

Prior to this the dartAsyncMarker for e.g. a rewritte async function

This changes it back in the continuations rewriting cases.
An alternative fix would be to change
  function.set_is_debuggable(
      kernel_procedure->function()->dart_async_marker() == FunctionNode::kSync);

to something like
  function.set_is_debuggable(
      kernel_procedure->function()->dart_async_marker() == FunctionNode::kSync ||
      kernel_procedure->function()->dart_async_marker() == FunctionNode::kYielding);

Asger Feldthaus a2e55c953d Add LibraryIndex class for finding classes and members by name.
The new class becomes a superclass of CoreTypes, which now gets its
functionality from that class, but also exposes commonly used built-in
members as fields.

This replaces a couple of ad-hoc linear searches spread throughout
the code.

The canonical names are not a convenient interface for transformers, so
the idea is that they can use LibraryIndex to address their own runtime
libraries.

To avoid name clashes and still have a somewhat convenient interface,
getters and setters are prefixed by 'get:' and 'set:' in the lookup
table (and only in the lookup table), and top-level members can be
accessed using '::' as the class name. This is the same convention
used by the VM, although it is currently not required to be the same.

Asger Feldthaus 8bfc4b47c0 Implement canonical name scheme in kernel.
This adds a class CanonicalName that can represent a library, class,
or member. All references now go through a Reference object, which is
linked to both the AST node and its CanonicalName, so either can be
created first.

dartk now accepts multiple input files:
- If multiple dart files are given, they are all compiled.
- If multiple binaries are given, they are linked together.
Mixed dart and binary input is not supported by dartk.

dartk now has a flag --include-sdk which includes the entire SDK in
the output. This is so the SDK can be compiled alone and then linked.

Example of compiling separately and then linking:
  dartk foo.dart -o foo.dill
  dartk main.dart -o main.dill
  dartk --include-sdk -o sdk.dill
  dartk main.dill foo.dill sdk.dill --target=vm --link -o program.dill

dartk still has incredibly slow cold start due to the analyzer loading
the dart sdk, so this does not actually speed things up at the moment.

Kevin Millikin fb4123b566 [kernel] Kernel: Fix a bug with await in finally.
The translation for async and async* functions translates returns into
two statements, where the second one is a return. The VM's compilation
strategy is to inline the code for all finally blocks immediately before
a return statement.

This causes future completion/stream cancellation to occur before
finally blocks, instead of after as intended.

The solution here is to translate returns into a break from a labeled
block and put a single async/async* return sequence, outside any finally
blocks, after the labeled block.

Kevin Millikin 5f93106653 [kernel] Support both older and newer implementations of dart:async.
The VM target's continuation transformer uses a class that was originally
named _StreamIteratorImpl and then renamed to _StreamIterator. If looking
up the old name fails, try the new name.

Kevin Millikin a6bba9520b [kernel] Remove BlockExpression from the Kernel language.
BlockExpression allowed statements to appear in an expression context.
It is unsafe for its original use case, allowing 'yield' to appear as an
expression, because the VM's yield implementation does not work when
there are live expression intermediate values.

Eliminate it by changing the async ExpressionLifter to return a
transformed expression and emit statements into a given list as a side
effect. This requires implementing the transformation for all
statements to account for how they may contain a nested expression.
