Kevin Millikin cfecec5eec Fix yet another cloning bug
All for-in loops became synchronous ones when mixed in. This is obviously
wrong. Fixes https://github.com/dart-lang/sdk/issues/34877

Alexander Aprelev c688d0c0c3 [frontend] When serializing compiled expression proc, clone type params first.
If there are circular references between type parameters and types in the bounds,
currently serialization leaves original type parameters unchanged, which results
in failures to serialize compiled expression procedure.

This CL makes sure to clone all type parameters first, then passes map
with old-to-new type parameters to CloneVisitor.

Jens Johansen d2d47acdce [kernel] Include urls even when we have no source
Previously, if we didn't include the source code, we wrote the url as
null. This for instance made it impossible to step through mixed in code
(at least when mixed in from the sdk).

This CL includes all used urls. If there's no source, the source is empty,
but the VM then tries to find the proper source to be able to display it
(e.g. the VM already has the sdk source).

This CL further more adds a service test that tests that we can actually
step into mixin in code from the sdk.

Jens Johansen e2ce88dfcc Add startFileOffset on procedures et al, enable VMs GetSource
Prior to this change we only had fileOffset which points to the name.
This CL adds a field - startFileOffset - that points to the start
(e.g. 'static', 'factory', the return type or any presiding annotation
(including '@')), as well as fixing `Function::GetSource` in the VM to
fix a crash when using mirrors to ask for the source of a function or
constructor.

The field is added to procedures, constructors and classes.
The latter changes the location of classes with annotations to be
the position of the annotation. This is on-par with --no-preview-dart-2.
The change in regards to procedures and constructors mean, that both
the location and the source (from .location and .source on a
MethodMirror) will change to include any annotations. This is a
different behavior than --no-preview-dart-2.

Closes #33271.

Kevin Millikin 65b19ffa3c Translate asserts in the VM-specific async translation
Translate assert statements in async functions. The translation of
the condition subexpression can produce a sequence of statements that
have been hoisted out of it. These need to be guarded so they are
executed only when asserts are enabled.

For this purpose, we introduce an AssertBlock. The semantics of the
assert block:

assert { s0; ...; sn; }

is the same as:

if (assertsEnabled) { s0; ...; sn; }

where assertsEnabled is a more primitive nullary expression that is
true iff. assertions are enabled. We chose not to encode this using a
construct like assertsEnabled because (1) we would have to support it
appearing as an arbitrary expression which we don't currently need
and (2) it requires deeper pattern matching to detect and skip the
guarded code when desired.

The translation is more complicated because if there is a message
subexpression in an assert, it is conditionally evaluated only if the
assert's condition is false.

Martin Kustermann aeee91ac5d [VM] Remaining fixes for flutter coverage issue
This CL changes:

   * package:kernel/clone.dart: To not clone file offsets if the
file-uri we copy from is unknown.

   * package:kernel/binary/ast_to_binary.dart: To not write out file
offsets if the file-uri is not written/indexed (which happens if
the file uri is not in the `Program.uriToSource` map).

   * It reverts the file renaming part of 60a2cfa219 which
fixed the name collision problem only partially (it missed to
rename `runtime/lib/double.dart`, which is not possible because
     there's already a `double_patch.dart` file).

Instead of renaming, we solve the problem by mangling the names as follows:

         .../sdk/lib/core/double.dart       ->  dart:core/double.dart
         .../runtime/lib/double.dart        ->  dart:core/runtime/lib/double.dart
         .../runtime/lib/double_patch.dart  ->  dart:core/runtime/lib/double_patch.dart

   * It changes the test to ignore any negative token positions. The vm
service does not just expose `-1` token positions for places where
there is no source, but also e.g. `-9` (which means TokenPosition::kMethodExtractor),
this was one reason why the appjit test failed.

   * It changes the test to try to force-compile everything (unsure if that works).

Martin Kustermann 60a2cfa219 [VM] Move runtime/lib/{developer,profiler,timeline}.dart -> ..._patch.dart, fix owner of constructors
This makes sure we can distinguish e.g. 2 different timeline.dart files
(from runtime/lib/timeline.dart and sdk/lib/developer/timeline.dart)

This CL also fixes the owner of constructors to be patch classes, if
the constructors come from a patch.

This CL also adds a service/valid_source_locations_test, which loops
over libraries/classes/fields/functions and obtains source locations for
them, including line numbers. This ensures that if there is a source
location attached to a member, we can use it's token position to get to
the line number.

This CL also changes package:kernel's [Cloner] to clone fileOffsets (and
not just fileEndOffsets). This is important for mixin resolution, where
we copy members into mixin application classes.

Kevin Millikin 6fa813d818 Change handling of Kernel static errors
Before: Kernel static errors were represented by throwing a distinguished
error or else by calling a distinguished library const constructor.

Now: Kernel static errors are represented by InvalidExpression. To support
error reporting, InvalidExpression has an optional message and a file
offset. A back end can choose to signal these errors at any time; for
example, when deserializing the binary, or when compiling the procedure
containing the static error, or when the erroneous expression is evaluated
at run time.

InvalidStatement is removed because it can be encoded as ExpressionStatement
of InvalidExpression.

Future work:

* supporting static errors where an expression cannot appear in the AST
* allowing InvalidExpression to contain an Expression for error recovery
* adding a top-level list of static errors and warnings to the binary

This reverts commit f13f772bb2.

Reason for revert: dartk(p)-strong debug mode is completely broken
because we convert int values non-representable as Smi to Smi, which
triggers that assert. The code that does tagging checks that
Untag(Tag(x)) == x, however for our purposes this identity does not
need to hold because we only care about lower bits and ignore the sign.

Reverting to restore green-ness of DEBUG builds.

Martin Kustermann d354a28cb2 [kernel] Add kernel2kernel constant evaluation, binary format as well as vm support
The introduced "constants" transformation can evaluate constant expressions. The
original use-sites of constant expressions are replaced by a new [ConstantExpression]
node, which points to a subclass of a new [Constant] class hierarchy. Constant
[Field]s and [VariableDeclarations]s will be removed, since all use-sites are
re-written.

The [Constant] class hierarchy is, similarly to the [DartType] class hierarchy, not
part of the AST tree (also has no parent pointer). The constants form a
DAG (directed acyclic graph).

There is no canonicalization requirement of the [Constant] objects referenced by the
AST (via [ConstantExpression]). Although it is beneficial to canonicalize them during
construction, since it reduces time spent in operator==/hashCode.

This CL furthermore adds support for a constant table in the binary format. Similarly
to [String]s, we canonicalize the constants before writing the table to the binary.
The constant table entries in the binary are written in a post-order way, to ensure
easy construction on the backend side.

The text format will be augmented with a "constants { ... }" section at the end,
which lists the constants in the same order as in the binary format.

The transformation can be used by those backends who choose to do so. It is not
enabled by default atm. It should therefore not affect analyzer, fasta or other
components.

Samir Jindel 4d7490c609 Preserve type variables in closure conversion.
Summary:

Previously, we filled in all occurrences of captured type variables with either
"dynamic" or their bound, if they had one.

Now, we add extra type parameters to the top-level function corresponding to the
closure, and pass in the corresponding arguments as type arguments to the
"MakeClosure" operation.

Test Plan:

Updated [type_variables.dart] and added a new test case to it.

Konstantin Shcheglov 1170b117c9 Remember isFieldFormal informative flag in VariableDeclaration(s).
It is informative in the same way as documentation.

Yesterday I tried to make Analyzer and Analysis Server stop using
FieldFormalParameterElement(s) and found one important use case requested
by the Flutter team. We need to show documentation of a field when
user requests documentation on the corresponding field formal named
parameter. This happens outside of the file that declares the parameter
and the field, so we don't have AST available. Of course we could
resolve the unit, but it would cost us something. And if we decide
that it is OK, then maybe we don't need to have documenation comments
in elements at all.

This is of course more convenience, and we could store documentation
and parameter to field mappings outside, like we store index. Just a
compromise - convenience vs. purity.

Asger Feldthaus 8bfc4b47c0 Implement canonical name scheme in kernel.
This adds a class CanonicalName that can represent a library, class,
or member. All references now go through a Reference object, which is
linked to both the AST node and its CanonicalName, so either can be
created first.

dartk now accepts multiple input files:
- If multiple dart files are given, they are all compiled.
- If multiple binaries are given, they are linked together.
Mixed dart and binary input is not supported by dartk.

dartk now has a flag --include-sdk which includes the entire SDK in
the output. This is so the SDK can be compiled alone and then linked.

Example of compiling separately and then linking:
  dartk foo.dart -o foo.dill
  dartk main.dart -o main.dill
  dartk --include-sdk -o sdk.dill
  dartk main.dill foo.dill sdk.dill --target=vm --link -o program.dill

dartk still has incredibly slow cold start due to the analyzer loading
the dart sdk, so this does not actually speed things up at the moment.

Previously a functions debuggable field was set to false in the async transformation (and because it wasn't done yet, not in async* and sync* transformation, though it should have been). Now instead, set the original async status and set debuggable on the c++ side equivalently.

Also, on the c++ side, set a functions modifier to async etc if they were originally async etc.
