Slava Egorov bbd407725e [vm/io,win] Remove Handle::EnsureInitialized
`Handle` objects which used by Windows specific implementation of
`EventHandler` have complicated life cycle and haphazard approach
to locking. This CL is the first in a series of CLs which attempts
to clean this up a bit - with a final goal to avoid recursively
locking `Handle::monitor_`.

In this CL we remove `Handle::EnsureInitialized` method which
was primarily responsible for associating `HANDLE` with
`EventHandler`'s completion port. Instead we move this logic
into `Handle` constructor.

We also cleanup reference counting logic applied to handles which
participate in asynchronous operations: instead of eagerly
incrementing reference count when `HANDLE` is associated with
the completion port we increment it whenever asynchronous operation
is in progress and decrement it when it completes. This makes the
code much simpler to reason about and avoids necessity to write
code like:

    handle->Release();
    handle->Release();

accompanied with comments explaining why we need to drop
two references due to eager increment.

Finally we cleanup the handling of provider-specific extensions
accessed through `WSAIoctl`'s `SIO_GET_EXTENSION_FUNCTION_POINTER`.
We were fetching them for every individual socket instead of
fetching them once and caching them globally.

Vyacheslav Egorov 14f7622ef4 [vm] Remove bin/*_android{.cc,.h} and use Linux implementations.
Android is based on Linux, so most of the files were identical
sans some subtle discrepancies caused by drift over time.

This discrepancies were making code base harder to maintain and in fact
were hiding bugs. For example, on Android eventhandler's implementation
of timers which relied on passing timeout to `epoll_wait` contained
a bug which was not present on Linux which used `timerfd` instead.

Zach Anderson f407419d0a [vm] Reland: Prefix HOST_OS_* and TARGET_OS_* with DART_
This relands https://dart-review.googlesource.com/c/sdk/+/205633
but without renaming TARGET_OS_IPHONE to DART_TARGET_OS_IPHONE.
It also changes uses of TARGET_OS_IOS to
DART_TARGET_OS_MACOS_IOS to be consistent with the rest of the

TargetConditionals.h for XCode 13 defines several
TARGET_OS_* preprocessor symbols that confuse the
Dart build. There is probably a more targeted fix
for this, but renaming the symbols that Dart uses
will also prevent this problem if more symbols
are added to the platform headers in the future.

Martin Kustermann 868cb26a2d [vm] Make event handler use appropriate data structure for timers
Right now each isolate can have one port registered at the eventhandler.
When the timer expires the isolate will be notified. The isolate can
also cancel it's timer.

The timer implementation in the eventhandler is implemented as a linked
list, sorted by expiration date. Removing an entry for a given port will
perform a linear search. This O(N) search can be very problematic as the
number of isolates scales, effectively leading to O(N^2) behavior if N
isolates register/cancel N timers.

The priority_heap.h/priority_heap_test.cc was imported from the
implementation in "github.com/dartino/sdk".

Zichang Guo 46ae3e4e7a [vm] not remove port if socket was listening by other isolates
Crashes come from assertion in ReturnTokens() and new_mask() in Eventhandler.
Another issue is when multiple serversockets bind to the same address, Socket will be reused to all Dart_Ports. But Socket didn't keep track of corresponding Dart Port.
When one of isolates is killed, finalizer wakes up and close most recent Dart Port that sends data.

After this cl, Socket may not be reused by different Dart Sockets. All Dart socket will has its own Socket object. But Sockets can have same fd.
This will guarantee finalizer will close right Dart Port.

Zachary Anderson 89dba57bcf [dart:io] Adds a finalizer to _NativeSocket to avoid socket leaks
The finalizer sends the "close" message to the EventHandler for the
file descriptor in the _NativeSocket's native field. To avoid races and
spurious messages, this CL stores a pointer to a wrapper object in the
native field instead of the file descriptor. All messsages about the
_NativeSocket sent to the EventHandler use the wrapper object instead of
the file descriptor. When the EventHandler closes the file, the file
descriptor in the wrapper object is set to -1 so that the finalizer will
instead do nothing.

On Windows, there is another level of indirection since the OS HANDLEs
were already wrapped in various kinds of Handle objects. As an additional
complication, ClientSocket close on Windows is asynchronous, so the
EventHandler may shutdown before all of the ClientSocket Handles can be
destroyed.

Like HOST_ARCH_*, HOST_OS_* describes the OS the VM is running on, which may be different from the OS the VM is generating code for during AOT compilation.

Currently we conflate the two when emitting AOT as assembly, and we get away with it because Flutter only uses assembly for targeting iOS and one can only target iOS from a Mac, but we expect to use assembly for Android as well so native tools can unwind Dart frames.

kustermann@google.com 360dfe4f41 Several bugfixes in dart:io's handing of sockets
This CL includes fixes for the following issues:

a) The event handler created listening socket metadata (values of a hashtable
indexed by filedescriptor) sometimes as SocketData and sometimes as
ListeningSocketData depending whether the socket has been listened to or not.
This was very buggy, in particular because multiple isolates can have a
reference to the same server socket in different states (opened, listened,
closed).

=> This should be fixed by sending the file descriptior typeMask always to the
   eventhandler.

b) A server socket cloned via the ServerSocketReference mechanism, opens a
receive port for sending (fd, address, port) to isolates/... which want to
create a server socket from the reference.
This receive port was not closed properly when calling only close() (and not
listening first).

=> This should be fixed by closing this receiveport on the ServerSocket.close()
   call as well.

c) It was assumed in the event handler that a close command needs to have the
Dart_Port in a hash table. But this is only the case if the user actually
listened to the ServerSocket. Otherwise the event handler does not know about
the server socket. This caused a NULL dereference which resulted in a SEGFAULT.

=> This should be fixed by checking if the Dart_Port is in the hashmap of the
ListeningSocketData or not.

d) Too many bits were considered when extracting token count in C++ code.

The CL includes a regression test which should trigger these issues.

ajohnsen@google.com d11df78618 Make stdout and stderr async.
This required some minor changes to the Windows eventhandler, as we now spawn a new thread for writes (just like we do for reads).

ajohnsen@google.com 2bd55c23c7 Keep track of when a socket has been destroyed
This adds the event CLOSED to RawSocket and RawServerSocket. This
event indicate that the underlying socket is now destroyed.

This is used to make Socket.close and ServerSocket.close return a
future which is completed when the unserlying socket is
destroyed. This can be used to start listening on the same port after
closing a server socket.

Split directory_posix -> directory_(android|linux|macos)
This allows us to cleanly make Android-specific changes to

Copy all _linux files to _android files and edit as needed to account
for the differences between Linux and Android:

+ getcwd(0, NULL) doesn't work on Android, have to emulate
+ Android doesn't have a '/tmp' directory, have to emulate
+ Android doesn't provide mkdtemp(), have to emulate.

sgjesse@google.com 0365cf42d0 Refactored thread pool
The thread pool has been refactored to hold all implementation state
in the ThreadPool class and have all internal state protected by a
single monitor.

Added support for starting and stopping the same pool several
times. When stopping the queue can be drained or not.

Added two tests which handles messages.
