Q-18: I have downloaded the BACnet stack but can't get Who-Is or EPICS applications to work. When I capture their packets with WireShark, I see Who-Is broadcast packet sent by the client application, but Wireshark shows no I-Am packets. How do I make it work?

A-18: Firewalls on modern OS block incoming and outgoing network traffic and require you to 'allow' the port that BACnet/IP uses. To allow the default BACnet/IP UDP port 47808 Linux with UFW:

$ sudo ufw allow 47808/udp
